Installing Wood Post Caps

1. Start with a flat, clean, dry surface.
   
   
2. Optional: Attach spacer using two (2) drywall screws.
   
   
3. Attach wood post cap with a good quality exterior construction adhesive and two (2) drywall screws.

Answer: Most contractors successfully install wood post caps using a high-quality exterior construction adhesive in combination with drywall screws.

IMPORTANT! - If wood post caps are nailed, holes should be pre-drilled, and galvanized spiral siding nails should be used to minimize rust stains.
